Features of my digital garden
I’ve used Quartz Theme for publishing my digital garden. It has many of the great features built-in already. I’ve also modified it to include some extra features that work for me.
# Available
These are the features that are currently available in the site:
- WikiLinks: You can use both Markdown
[]()
and WikiLinks[[]]
to link notes. - Graph View: Every post has a local graph view at the end.
- Backlinks: Every note has backlinks sections at the end.
- Latex: Latex is supported using the
katex
library. - Full-text Search: Powerful search functionality.
- Permanent URLs: All URLs are
id
-based, instead of filename and path. - Note Embeds: Show note embeds as well as the link to the original note.
# Planned
These are the features that I’m planning to implement in the future:
- Comments: Ability for others to comment on notes.
- I’m not sure how useful this could be.
- I’m looking into different comment solutions.
- Andy’s Sliding Windows: I’m not sure if I’m technically able to undertake this task yet.
- Theming: I like Obsidian Primary Theme. I might try to port it to the website.
- Breadcrumbs: Create breadcrumbs for hierarchical content.
- Better Popovers: Current implementation is very lacking. It should at least render markdown.
